The Role

We're looking for a finance leader who can operate at the intersection of traditional finance and cutting-edge technology. You'll own financial operations for our portfolio of scaling companies while helping build the AI tools that will automate your job.

This is not traditional finance. You'll deploy financial infrastructure for hypergrowth companies, implement our proprietary AI forecasting tools, and help digitize CFO-level expertise into software.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end financial operations for 3-5 portfolio companies ($5M-$50M revenue)
• Implement financial infrastructure: forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, cash management
• Deploy and refine our AI-powered forecasting tools with real client data
• Build scalable finance processes that work from $1M to $100M+
• Partner with founders on M&A strategy, capital raises, and exit planning
• Lead monthly/quarterly board reporting and investor relations
• Build and manage finance teams as portfolio companies scale
• Help encode your expertise into our AI tools and automation frameworks

You Bring

• CPA/CA designation or equivalent
• 7+ years in finance roles, including 3+ years in leadership
• Experience scaling companies from $5M to $50M+ revenue
• Hands-on experience with financial systems implementation (NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills
• Comfortable with technology—bonus if you can code (Python, SQL) or want to learn
• Experience working with PE/VC-backed companies preferred
• Startup finance experience strongly preferred
• Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity

The Role

We're building AI tools that predict market movements and automate CFO-level decision-making. We need a researcher who can combine financial domain expertise with machine learning to create predictive models that actually work in production.

You'll lead research on our currency forecasting engine (HoldUSD.com), build new predictive models for financial planning, and help encode expert finance knowledge into AI systems.

What You'll Do

• Lead research and development of our USD/CAD forecasting AI engine
• Build and validate predictive models for financial metrics (cash flow, revenue, burn rate)
• Design experiments to test model performance in real-world financial scenarios
• Collaborate with finance team to encode CFO-level expertise into algorithms
• Analyze financial datasets to identify patterns and predictive signals
• Publish research findings and contribute to thought leadership
• Stay current on ML/AI research applicable to finance and time series forecasting
• Build data pipelines and infrastructure to support model development

You Bring

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or related field
• 3+ years of applied ML research, preferably in finance/economics
• Strong background in time series forecasting and predictive modeling
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar ML frameworks
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages for statistical analysis
• Understanding of financial markets, particularly FX and currency dynamics
• Experience deploying models to production (bonus)
• Published research in ML/AI or quantitative finance (bonus)
• Strong communication skills—ability to explain complex models to non-technical stakeholders

The Role

Turn research prototypes into production AI systems that finance teams use daily. You'll build the infrastructure for our AI forecasting tools, deploy models to production, and create the APIs that power our financial operating system.

This role sits at the intersection of ML engineering, backend development, and financial systems integration. You'll work closely with researchers and finance practitioners to ship AI tools that actually work.

What You'll Do

• Build and deploy ML models for production use (currency forecasting, financial prediction)
• Develop APIs and backend infrastructure for our AI financial tools
• Create data pipelines to ingest financial data from various sources (banks, accounting systems, spreadsheets)
• Implement model monitoring, retraining, and performance tracking systems
• Optimize model inference for speed and cost-efficiency
• Integrate AI tools with existing financial software (NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Build internal tools for finance team to interact with AI predictions
• Collaborate with researchers to translate models into production code
• Ensure data security and compliance with financial regulations

You Bring

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong Python skills with experience in ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Experience deploying ML models to production
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Backend development experience (FastAPI, Django, Flask, Node.js)
• Database experience (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)
• Understanding of MLOps and model deployment best practices
• Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes
• Bonus: Experience with financial data or fintech applications
• Bonus: Frontend skills (React, Vue, or similar)
